Account
Achordeon runs without one. Writing songs, binding songbooks, performing them on stage: all of it works with no account at all, because your library lives in the browser on this device. The account exists for one thing, getting that library off this one device.
Without it you can still back up by hand, to a file you keep yourself. With it, the backup can go to your Google Drive instead, and on the paid tier the library follows you between devices on its own.
What a login gives you
The application is fully offline. You don't need to login. But login will give you more functionality depending on you tier:

Audience
Audience can be for free tier as well
Application supports only one user in the browser. Everyone can see your data. The login is for synchronization only.
Signing in
- With Google, or with an email and a password
- A second sign-in method can be added to the same account later, and then either one gets you in
Signing in with Google does not hand over your Drive. That is a separate permission, asked the first time you back up to Drive. What Google tells us about you, what Achordeon can touch in your Drive, and how to delete the account, are all on your account & Google data.
Where it is in the app
The account lives in one place, Settings → Profile. The backup buttons it unlocks sit a little further down the same page, under Backup.
Nothing outside Settings says the account exists. Somebody who never opens Settings never learns their library could be backed up at all. The account needs a way of being found from where the user already is.
